Bear Hunting in British Columbia
Our hunting and fishing area in BC is located close to the village of Cherryville slightly east of the town Kelowna. The hunting area is 250 square kilometers. There’s everything from salmon fishing down in the valleys, trout fishing in smaller lakes and streams to black bears and cougars in the hillsides, and mountain goat heading up toward the peaks. Good long-term wildlife management ensures that our guests receive the highest quality of nature experiences, hunting and accommodation.
The hunting takes place as stalking combined with some posting in the hills of the Rocky Mountains. In spring, bears are actively feeding in the lush green valleys, in addition, it is mating season so the big male bears move across large areas to find females in heat. Over 30% of the bear population consists of brown-colored bears that are considered prized trophies.
